• This event is an exciting initiative aimed at connecting the Astoria/LIC community with each other and beauty and fashion brands that can provide guests with knowledge that will aid them in being their best selves. 

Details:

• There will be an amazing view of the Manhattan skylines, a Queens-native LIVE DJ, with food and drinks catered by women and black-owned businesses in Astoria/LIC.
• Our target audience are people who are interested in all things beauty and fashion.

At LCA Unisex Salon we are dedicated to promoting the success of our community around us by specializing in natural black hair styling, and by serving as an exclusive retailer for other Black-owned beauty product companies. Beat Brunch is a minority-owned initiative brought to you by LCA: All Things Fashion and Beauty, here we offer an annual beauty brunch for members of the Astoria/Long Island City community. As a native resident in the area for many years, I noticed the absence of a space dedicated to beauty services, education and celebration for the black community, which inspired me to create the Beat Brunch! Since our inception, we have been dedicated to creating a relationship and presence with POC residents of Astoria/LIC to explore beauty trends and products that celebrate our melanin and naturally curly hair, which currently isn’t present in our community.
